Why am I referred to Eindhoven247?
Eindhoven247 is the assigned portal when it comes to city events. We are responsible for composing the event calendar en assisting event organisors with licence applications. The Municipality of Eindhoven handles the licence application.
Why should I apply for an event calendar?
For the upcoming calendar year, you can reserve a location in the public space of Eindhoven until the 30th of September. Due to the large amount of applications, some of the locations might be booked. By applying for a location in advance, you can claim your spot on the calendar. When your event is put on the calendar, it doesn’t automatically mean your licence is approved. You apply for a licence via ‘Eindhoven application events’. After October 1st, the calendar is submitted to the Municipality of Eindhoven. They will establish the event calendar before December 31st.

Do I need a licence for my event or is applying sufficient?
Whether an event requires a licence depends on a number of factors such as the duration of the event, the number of visitors etc. Terms and conditions are listed here.
If you cannot meet these terms and conditions, you need to apply for a licence.
Do I have to apply for a licence or report a privat event on privat grounds?
You do not need to apply for a licence or report a private event on private grounds. The event can take place if it meets the environmental license of your location.
If you put up a tent for over 150 people, you have to submit an occupancy notification firesafe usage at omgevingsloket@eindhoven.nl.
Do I need a licence for a street- or neighbourhood feast?
If you organise a street or neigbourhood party, it is sufficient to send a notification to the Municipality of Eindhoven will suffice. Terms and conditions are listed here.
If you cannot meet these terms and conditions, you need to apply for a licence.
Which steps do I have to take to apply for a licence?
Would you like to organise an event? The first step is to sign up your event for the event calendar. Eindhoven247 will check if the date and location is still available.
After that you can continue on with the licence application. If available, please check the location profile in advance.
Does Eindhoven247 have a standard safety plan available?
We don’t have a standard safety plan. Each activity/event is different and needs its own approach. The Municipality of Eindhoven does have a standard format. We can send it to you if you like.
Eindhoven247 can help you with the preparation of a safety plan. Our organisation has created safety plans for events such as PSV Championship, Park Hilaria and King’s Day. We are happy to send you an offer.

What is the application deadline for a notification or licence?
The notification period ends 4 weeks before the start of the event.
Category A event: the application deadline end 8 weeks before the start of the event
Category B event: the application deadline end 10 weeks before the start of the event
Category C event: the application deadline ends 12 weeks before the start of the event.
Each application cannot be handed in 26 weeks prior to the start of the event.
I submitted an application for an event licence. Who should I turn to if I have any questions left?
If the licence application has been handed over tot he Municipality of Eindhoven, Eindhoven247 is no longer involved in the application process. We don’t have any information about the application status. Your contact person will be listed on the confirmation form which you received after sending your application.
Can I close the street during my event?
You will need a traffic plan for that. You can only close off a street when you have arranged a traffic detour for the regular traffic. The current traffic situation during your event can be assessed by the social service centre 'Depot Eindhoven’. Depot Eindhoven can also help you to put together a traffic plan. Can I rent the acquired event materials at Eindhoven247?
Eindhoven247 doesn’t rent out any materials. Depot Eindhoven puts a variety of materials up for rent for community organisations, cultural organisations and non-profit institutions. Tables, chairs, tents, crew catering materials; anything you need to organize an event or neighbourhood party.

Are balloons allowed at an event?
Releasing balloons seems to be very cheerful and festive. However it has adverse consequences for both human, animal and nature and does not match with the sustainable ambitions of Eindhoven. That is why releasing balloons is actively discouraged in our municipality. Fortunately there are sufficient alternatives. More information and the alternatives you can find here.
When do I have to make a click report?
When there is anchoring in the ground by means of poles, pins, fences etc. you have to make a click report at the kadaster to get information about cables and pipes in the ground. You can submit a click report here.
Can I still use disposable cups and containers at my event?
Open events:
From 1 July 2023 visitors have to pay for a disposable cup or containers,if this contains plastic. Visitors have to be able to use a reusable alternative with a return system, or a self brought cup or packaging.
With open events are meant for example a fair, marathon or a open city event like Carnaval.
Closed events:
Therefor the regulations apply from 1 January 2024.
With closed events, events on a location with a fence are meant.
